Schools can now apply for funding through ChangeX to run an Operation Outbreak simulation, an interactive learning experience designed for students aged 14–18. Operation Outbreak uses Bluetooth-powered simulations and supporting learning tools to build collaboration, critical thinking and real-world understanding of infectious disease spread and outbreak response.

Schools can choose between two funded options:

  • Core simulation: Experience the real-time spread of a fictional pathogen in the classroom to model disease transmission and preparedness.
  • Enhanced simulation: Turn the whole school into an outbreak response hub. Students role-play as public health officials, journalists and government leaders as they work to contain a fictional pathogen.

Funding covers resources, support and guidance to implement the simulation in your school community. ChangeX provides a simple step-by-step process to unlock seed funding and complete your project.
