Get to know Dylan!

How did you first get involved in OSA?
I first got into OSA when my science teacher mentioned it to my class when I was in year 3, and I thought it sounded fun so I gave it a go.

Why do you participate?
I participate in OSA because I have fun and I really enjoy science. I like being able to investigate topics I am interested in while competing against other people who enjoy science as much as I do.

What advice would you give to other OSA entrants?
I would tell them to try and choose something unique and interesting to attract the judge’s attention and increase chances of success. It is also good to be something that you are curious about and would enjoy diving deeper into.

What is your favourite project that you have submitted?
My favourite project would be my Duckweed submission because it was the most interesting to learn about and it was unique. It was something that a lot of people, including my family, hadn’t heard of before.
